CheckHostNow is a public website diagnostic and network utility that performs on-demand HTTP requests and DNS queries when a visitor submits a hostname or IP address. The service reports reachability, HTTP response codes, response latency, and global propagation so developers, sysadmins, and webmasters can troubleshoot network issues. The policies below explain the service's purpose, limits, and how check data and privacy are handled.
Terms of Service

2. What the Service Does
CheckHostNow performs on-demand HTTP/HTTPS requests and public DNS-over-HTTPS (DoH) queries to websites and domains that you specify, reporting whether the target host responded, along with HTTP status codes, latency, and DNS resolution details. The Service provides informational network health checks only and does not guarantee continuous monitoring, uptime warranties, or real-time security alerting.

Privacy Policy
1. Commitment to Privacy
CheckHostNow is designed with a privacy-by-default philosophy. We do not require account registration, usernames, or passwords to access our diagnostic tools. We do not store or sell individual search history or IP query logs.
2. Information We Collect
- Diagnostic Queries: When you enter a domain or IP into the checker, our frontend performs client-side queries via public DNS-over-HTTPS (DoH) providers (Cloudflare DNS, Google Public DNS) or IP geolocation services. These queries are processed Ephemerally and not persisted in our private databases.
- Standard Server Logs: Like most web applications, our CDN and hosting infrastructure (Cloudflare & Vercel) automatically log technical request data including browser type, operating system, referring URL, date/time stamp, and coarse geographic region to mitigate DDoS attacks and ensure server stability.
- Analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) with IP anonymization enabled to understand aggregated website metrics such as total page views, country-level distribution, and popular tools.
3. General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Rights
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain data protection rights under the GDPR, including the right to request access, rectification, erasure, or restriction of your personal data. Because we do not store personal profiles or trackable user records, we store minimal to zero personal data.
4. California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)
Under the CCPA, California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. CheckHostNow does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for monetary consideration.
